Agrinos Expands its Commercial Platform and Geographic Reach in India with a New Partnership with Rallis

OSLO, Norway (February 2, 2015)–Agrinos AS, a leading global biological crop input provider committed to improving the productivity and sustainability of modern agriculture worldwide, is pleased to announce an expanded partnership of Agrinos India Pty. Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Agrinos AS, with Rallis, a subsidiary of TATA Chemicals Limited, for the introduction of AMPLUS™ in India.

AMPLUS is a new organic microbial product that enhances soil fertility and features Agrinos’ proprietary High Yield Technology (HYT®). Extensive clinical research and field trials have demonstrated HYT® enhances the fertility of soil by increasing bioavailable nitrogen and other nutrients and accelerating the decomposition of organic wastes, thereby stimulating plant growth for improved crop yields. Agrinos and Rallis have been cooperating and conducting field trials on AMPLUS™ together since 2013.

“Indian agriculture can benefit tremendously from new and improved agricultural solutions,” said Indranil Das, managing director of Agrinos India. “We have established a strong local presence and demonstrated the efficacy of our HYT® products via trials with universities and research centers. Agrinos is proud to offer such solutions such as AMPLUS   with a strong partner such as Rallis, and we believe this offering will enable both Rallis and Agrinos to better serve Indian farmers.”

Mr. K. R. Venkatadri, COO Rallis India Ltd. added, “Rallis continuously strives to improve farm productivity through innovative product and service offerings. In line with this tradition, Rallis has launched the AMPLUS™ product line in partnership with Agrinos in order to bring the innovative and modern HYT®  based biological products to Indian agriculture.”

Agrinos has been operating in India since 2010, and currently has several successful distribution partnerships across India. Dr. Ry Wagner, CEO of Agrinos said partnerships such as these with highly regarded companies like Rallis are important for the company’s continued growth in India.

“Agrinos is pleased to be working in India with an industry leader such as Rallis,” added Wagner. “The agreement with Rallis represents an important advancement of our sales and the distribution of our biological products in India.
